By respecting the terrain, the villa is a building of unusual geometry, which combines the historic and respected olive oil extraction process with elegant and luxurious hotel accommodation. The walls are made from excavated stone and by using the excavated materials, the building has significantly reduced its carbon dioxide emissions. The haven is situated near the breathtakingly beautiful Kornati National Park. The island of Dugi Otok with its deep bay Telašćica is located in the immediate vicinity, northwest of the Kornati Archipelago and forms together with the Kornati Islands, a unique and cultural entity. Established in 1980, the Kornati Islands Archipelago comprises of 140 islands and islets covering 114sq miles with 89 of the islands form part of the Kornati National Park-the natural beauty is outstanding. A wild destination with eagle owls, 353 different types of algae and over 850 various species of animals, the Kornati National Park is also protected and as well as the wildlife, the marine life is simply stunning and is perfect for diving and snorkelling. The villa is situated amongst 500-year-old olive groves and has produced organically certified, globally award-winning Dalmatian olive oil with every stage of the production conducted by hand – from olive picking to oil extraction. Dugi Otok receives on average 3.3 days of snowfall annually and this is the perfect amount of snowfall required to produce a bountiful olive harvest and to produce the villa's globally award-winning liquid gold, olive oil. This level of perfectionism is evident in the villa’s incredible menus, created using only the best locally sourced and organic ingredients from the island farms and orchards. The fruit and vegetables used in these tantalizing dishes have been grown under the warm Mediterranean sun in organically clean soil. All the meat comes from local family farms whilst the seafood is harvested directly from the Adriatic.

Getting Here

Surrounded by ancient olive groves, this villa is located on the island of Dugi Otok, Croatia, in the heart of Dalmatia, next to the village of Žman. The haven sits in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, equidistant from the famous towns of Dubrovnik and Venice. Dugi Otok Island the largest among the northern Dalmatian islands, stretching 45 km long and between 1 and 4 km wide. The southeastern part of the island is protected thanks to Telašćica Nature Park, just a few minutes away.

To get here, public transfer options include ferries from Zadar Gaženica Port to Brbinj on Dugi Otok or catamarans from Zadar to Zaglav or Sali. Ferries take 1 hour and 40 minutes and catamarans between 40 and 60 minutes. Guests can also book a private boat transfer concierge service or a private helicopter transfer from Zadar Airport to the property.

All rooms and suites have beautifully appointed, spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers, double vanities, and bathtubs, all produced by Agape, a true leader in bathroom architecture and design. To complement the premium signature of the rooms and suites, all the bedding is from an aristocrat of Italian linen craftsmanship Frette.
